Banys Project

Year:

2026

Typology:

Private house

Location:

Lleida, Spain.

This project stems from the desire to transform two bathrooms into spaces dedicated to well-being, calm and personal care. At a time when self-care and the need to make time for ourselves have gained prominence, the bathroom is no longer a purely functional space but becomes a small sanctuary where we can disconnect from the pace of everyday life, slow down and reconnect with ourselves.

The design is based on a palette of neutral tones and materials that convey naturalness, balance and serenity. Subtle textures, continuity between finishes and harmony among the different elements create a timeless aesthetic, free from visual excess and focused on the essentials. Every material and every detail contributes to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, inspired by the sensory experience of spa environments.

Lighting and the integration of elements play a fundamental role in this concept, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness, order and tranquillity. The aim is for the bathrooms not only to meet everyday functional needs, but also to invite users to enjoy small daily rituals: a relaxing shower, a few minutes of silence or a moment devoted entirely to oneself.

Ultimately, this project sees the bathroom as much more than a transitional space. It is a place for pause and well-being, where the simplicity of materials, a neutral colour palette and attention to detail come together to create a personal sanctuary. Two spaces designed for self-care, disconnection and finding a moment of calm amidst the daily routine.
