After a long reign of light tones, beige, and neutrals, 2025 arrives with a new color palette that breathes character and emotion. Colors become more intense, bold, and deep, connecting us with nature and filling spaces with warmth and sophistication. It’s an invitation to play with contrasts, layer textures, and bring life to any environment.

Olive green

Green stands out as one of the absolute protagonists. This color reminds us of the outdoors, the forest, and living nature. Its presence in interiors brings serenity, freshness, and a sense of connection with the natural environment.

Green also invites experimentation with different intensities: softer shades create calm, minimalist atmospheres, while deeper greens add personality and strength to any room. Ideal for walls, furniture, or decorative details, green is undoubtedly a safe choice for anyone looking to refresh their space with style and purpose.

Terracotta, browns and Mocha Mousse

Mocha Mousse has been chosen as the color of the year, and it’s no coincidence. We dive into a warm, earthy, and elegant palette that conveys stability, comfort, and sophistication. This shade, halfway between soft chocolate and café au lait, reflects a clear trend towards cozier and more natural interiors.

Browns are making a strong comeback in the form of woods, walls, textiles, and accessories, reclaiming the prominence they had given up to more neutral tones in past seasons.

Along the same lines, terracotta consolidates itself as another key color of the year: warm, organic, and full of personality. It evokes baked earth, the desert, Mediterranean roots, and brings a vibrant yet balanced energy to spaces. Incorporating these colors into your home is an easy way to add depth and warmth to any space, especially when combined with textures like velvet, wool, or leather.

Cherry red and blush pink

Intense and characterful colors take center stage this year, with shades that evoke emotion and refinement standing out. On one hand, cherry and burgundy tones add depth and sophistication, perfect for spaces aiming to convey warmth and elegance without losing personality.

On the other hand, blush pink — soft, powdery, and subtly empathetic — emerges as a delicate yet visually powerful alternative. This color brings a romantic, warm, and contemporary vibe, ideal for creating serene and cozy environments while also adding contrast.

The combination of these two extremes — the intensity of cherry tones and the softness of blush pink — allows for playing with rich, balanced contrasts, creating spaces with depth, character, and a touch of contemporary sophistication.

Greige and taupe

Replacing beige and off-white, these more complex and sophisticated neutrals appear, redefining how we understand base tones in interior design. Greige and taupe, two hybrid shades between gray and beige, offer a richer and more nuanced alternative that adds depth without sacrificing calmness and elegance.

These ranges allow the creation of serene and balanced environments but with a distinctive touch that sets them apart from more traditional neutrals. Greige, with a cooler and more refined tone, is ideal for Mediterranean and minimalist spaces, while taupe, warmer and more enveloping, fits perfectly in cozy interiors with Japandi or slow living styles.

Additionally, they serve as an ideal backdrop for any color palette and can be combined on walls, furniture, textiles, or flooring. Greige and taupe provide subtle sophistication that makes any space breathe balance and style.

Sky blue and butter yellow

Blues regain prominence in 2025, but with a new attitude. They move beyond the more conventional pastel shades to present themselves in more intense, grayish, or softly dusty versions, full of nuance and depth. These blues bring a sense of freshness and balance, ideal for toning down very warm spaces or combining with yellows—whether pale or more saturated—to create harmonious and sophisticated palettes.

Within this renewed range, sky blue stands out strongly. With its light, serene, and airy tone, it becomes a safe bet for interiors looking to add a soft touch of color. It’s perfect for bringing luminosity and softness to spaces and works especially well as a counterpoint to more intense colors like yellow or garnet, providing a very elegant visual balance.
